Today, we welcomed our newest teachers to the West Haven Public Schools family with New Teacher Orientation at West Haven High School!
New staff had the opportunity to meet members of our central office team, hear from Superintendent Cavallaro and Assistant Superintendent Fronc, connect with department heads, and learn important information as they prepare for the start of the school year on Monday.
We’re excited to have such a great group of new teachers joining our district and can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year! 💙🤍

Important Notice: Due to the forecasted excessive heat, all West Haven Public Schools will follow an early dismissal schedule on Friday, June 12, 2026. West Haven High School will continue to follow its final exam schedule and will not be affected by this change.

Yesterday, Mackrille Elementary’s 4th grade Mythology Wax Museum came to life. Students transformed into mythological figures and shared their stories with guests as each character was brought to life by a coin before returning back into legend. A truly magical experience 🏛✨

Today’s annual district-wide 4th Grade Field Day at Painter Park gave students the chance to enjoy tug-of-war, relay races, dodgeball, and plenty of other exciting activities. After a year of hard work, it was a well-earned day of fun and memories for all. We hope everyone had an amazing time! ☀️🎉

Mackrille School hosted its Multicultural Night last evening, celebrating cultures from around the world. Each class created a craft from a different country, and families shared items representing their cultures. The night also featured performances from Ghana and Brazil, along with delicious dirty sodas and donuts from Westies Nutrition. 🌍✨

Fourth grade students from across West Haven Public Schools visited WHHS for a special performance presented by the Theatre Workshop. The show featured beloved fairytale stories and was enjoyed by all. The Theatre Workshop students did an outstanding job creating a fun and exciting experience for the visiting students. 🎭✨
