Welcome to Edith E. Mackrille Elementary School

Mackrille is a community of more than 300 students and a staff of more than 35 professionals who are dedicated to educating children.  Mackrille encourages students to do their best in every content area with a focus on reading for enjoyment.  Throughout the school year, students are challenged to read at home and summarize or write a review of what they are reading.

Students are encouraged to use speaking, listening, thinking and writing skills in their daily work.  Students work on problem solving and the capacity to explain the process they use.  As a “School of Distinction for the past two years, the staff takes pride in working together for all of the children and their future success.

Parents must accompany all new registrants who are under eighteen years of age. They are also required to present educational and health records obtained from the school that was previously attended.”
